SUCTION INLET SKIRT REPLACEMENT

When the skirts are torn or worn, replace them as shown below:

Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.

1.

Lift the suction inlet by pressing the upper part of the switch (29, Fig. E).

2.

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

3.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

4.

Remove the 4 screws (2, Fig. AI) and the plate (3). Replace the gasket (1, Fig. AI), then install the components.

5.

Remove the 2 screws (4, Fig. AI) and the plate (5). Replace the gasket (6, Fig. AI), then install the components.

6.

Remove the 4 screws (7, Fig. AI) and the plate (8). Replace the gasket (9, Fig. AI), then install the components.

7.

Remove the 2 nuts (10, Fig. AI) while holding steady the 2 screws (11) inside the suction inlet. Remove the plate (12, Fig. AI),

replace the gasket (13), then install the components.
Remove the 4 nuts (14, Fig. AI) and the plate (15). Replace the gasket (16, Fig. AI), then install the components.

9.

SIDE BROOM REPLACEMENT

When the brooms are worn, replace them as shown below:

Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.

1.

Lift the brooms by pressing and holding the upper part of the switch (29, Fig. E).

2.

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

3.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

4.

Remove the screw (1, Fig. AK) to separate the broom assembly from the motor shaft (2). To separate the broom (5, Fig. AK),

remove the 3 nuts (3) while holding steady the 3 screws (4).
Replace the broom (5, Fig. AK).

6.

Perform the procedures described in step 5 in the reverse order.

7.

3RD BROOM ARM REPLACEMENT

Turn the 3rd broom to transport position.

1.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

2.

Remove the centre screw (6, Fig. AK), then remove the broom (7) to be replaced. Recover the key.

3.

Remove the screws (8, Fig. AK) and the fl ange (9) from the removed broom.

4.

Install the fl ange (9, Fig. AK) and secure it with the screws (8) on the new broom.

5.

Install the new broom (7, Fig. AK) with the key, then tighten the centre screw (6).

6.

BRANCH PIPE GASKET REPLACEMENT

When the suction hose gasket is worn, replace it as shown below:

Start the engine as shown in the relevant paragraph.

1.

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

2.

Lift the hopper as shown in Using The Machine paragraph.

3.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

4.

Install the support rod (1, Fig. M).

5.

Remove the gasket (1, Fig. AH).

6.

Clean the hose edge (2, Fig. AH) thoroughly and apply a layer of bonding agent (silicone).

7.

Install the new gasket and seal both gasket ends together with bonding agent.

8.

Remove the support rod (1, Fig. M) and lower the hopper as shown in Using the Machine paragraph.

9.

ENGINE OIL CHANGE

Drive the machine on a solid and level ground.

1.

Lift the hopper by pressing and holding the upper part of the switch (24, Fig. E).

2.

Turn off the engine, by turning the ignition key (6, Fig. D) counterclockwise, to the end of stroke, then remove it.

3.

Engage the parking brake (3, Fig. D).

4.

Install the hopper support rod as shown in Hopper Support Rod Installation paragraph.

5.

Change the oil as shown in the Diesel Engine Manual.

6.

NOTE
Use the same type of oil that is in the engine. See Diesel Engine Data in Technical Data chapter.

WARNING!
The oil and fi lters should be disposed of properly according to the environmental laws in force.

CAUTION!
When changing the engine oil, the oil fi lter element must be replaced.
