1. Introduction
The intrinsically safe transmitters HygroClip IC–EX, ID–EX, IE–EX and IW–EX are instruments for the combined measurement
of humidity and temperature in hazardous areas. The transmitter fulfills the European Standards EN 50014, EN 50020, EN50284
and EN50281-1-1.
In hazardous areas the transmitter has always to be operated via Zener barriers or an approved switch
amplifier! There must be a galvanic separation between the signal lines and the power supply.
We recommend the use of a HygroFlex transmitter. The following types may be used:
HTS 11X, HTS 21X, HTS 31X, HTS 11D, HTS 21D, HTS 31D. barriers!

The flange is only necessary when the screw fitting alone cannot
fixed.

housing in order to avoid a
twisting of the probe cable.
The housing must be fixed only
after screwing the probe in.
