INSTALLING ORS 2.2
The ORION Meter Reading software comes loaded on two CDs provided by Badger Meter. Disc 1 contains ORS 2.2 software,
ORION endpoint utility software and driver files. Disc 2 contains the Map file(s).
NOTE: N The basic software installation process is the same for Windows 7 and Windows XP. Windows 7 users must perform
additional steps as noted on page 13, page 29 and page 1829. Screen appearance depends on user
personalization and operating system.
1. Load the ORION Meter Reading System CD labeled "Disc 1" on the computer.
2. The CD folder may open automatically. If not, open Windows Explorer and browse to the CD drive location.
Result: Three folders and an .inf file will be displayed. Refer to Figure 13.

3. Double click to open the “ORS 2.2.1 Secure” folder.
