Bluetooth Communication
Survey Pro can communicate wirelessly with a supported receiver
using a Bluetooth connection when the following conditions are met:
•
A Socket™ Bluetooth Compact Flash card and its drivers are
installed on the data collector.
•
The receiver has Bluetooth built in and is explicitly supported
by Survey Pro.
Note: Refer to the Bluetooth section of the conventional surveying
User’s Manual for detailed instructions on configuring the Socket
Bluetooth drivers for use with Survey Pro.
Configuring Survey Pro
Once the Socket drivers are installed and configured correctly,
perform the following steps to configure Survey Pro to use Bluetooth
communications:
1. Go to Job | Settings | Receiver | Receiver Settings | Receiver |
Change , and select your Brand and Model .
2. Select Bluetooth in the GPS Receiver Port field. (If
your receiver is not supported, you will not see this
option.)
The 6HWWLQJV button will access the Bluetooth
Connection Manager, described in the User’s Manual,
where you can quickly check or change your virtual COM
port and favorites.
