4.9.3 Twin Wing
The Twin Wing Seed Opener Furrow Effect Picture as illustrated in Figure 19.
Most Twin Wing openers are on 12” spacing. The customer would achieve 9”
spacing due to the 3” seed separation (Figure 19, Figure 20 & Figure 21). With
Single Side Band configuration 10” spacing is the narrowest spacing that Seed
Hawk offers.
What Twin Wing achieves is 2 rows of seed ¾” above and 1-1/2” to both sides of
the fertilizer band.
The 1.5” separation to the side of the fertilizer band is identical separation as the
Single Side Band seed opener.
Contact your local dealer for instructions on how to convert your Single Side Band
opener to accommodate the Twin Wing seed knife.
