4.5 PRE-OPERATION CHECKLIST
Inspect tires. Check tire inflation pressure and adjust, if necessary.
Inspect wheel hub fasteners. Adjust torque to proper setting, if necessary.
NOTE
Ensure flow valve (liquid fertilizer tank), if equipped, is closed.
: Check wheel hub fasteners periodically to ensure proper tightness,
especially prior to travel on public highways.
Check depth setting of packer wheel arms. Adjust, if necessary.
Check depth setting of fertilizer knives. Adjust if necessary.
Check tractor hydraulic reservoir level. Add hydraulic fluid if level is low.
Refer to tractor Operator’s Manual.
Inspect all hydraulic lines, hoses, fittings and couplers.
IMPORTANT!
Inspect seed and dry fertilizer distribution system.
Use a clean cloth to wipe any accumulated dirt from the
implement and tractor couplers prior to connecting the hydraulic system.
Make sure manual wing locks are unpinned and folded to center of machine
prior to winging machine down. (not on 7 plex drills)
Make sure manual wing locks are unpinned and pin is placed in holder prior
to winging down the 30’ 45 series 3plex toolbars.
