4.4 HYDRAULIC MANIFOLD DESCRIPTION
This is the pressure
reducing, relieving valve,
which is electrified when
your packing switch is
turned on. This valve
maintains packing
pressure on your
openers during seeding.
This is the packing
and penetration
motor. Your shank
pressure switch in
the cab controls the
motor.
This is the dump line
pressure gauge. Ideally this
has no pressure while
seeding. You may operate
up to 100 PSI.
This is the IN pressure
gauge. This reads what
pressure you tractor
pump is putting out. This is the wing lift pressure
gauge. While seeding it will
read 0, it will pressure up
when lifting the wings.
This is a 4” shank pressure gauge
with a maximum 1500 Psi. Every
new Seed Hawk is set at 1200 Psi.

illustrates how to set the correct
packing pressure and trip pressure
relevant your field conditions.
This is the wing down
pressure gauge. It is preset
for your width of machine. It
will show this preset
pressure while seeding.
