Checking/Adjusting Temperatures, and Timer Percentages
When you press the Mode button, watch the green LED’s beside the main display.
Whichever LED is lit is the parameter you are viewing: “Room Temp.”, “Target Temp.”,
“Timer Percentage”, and “On Point” values. Note: To adjust these parameters, press
the Mode button until you see the parameter you want to adjust, then use the + button
to increase the value, and the - button to decrease the value.

Normal Mode Parameters
Room Temperature
The average of the sensors located inside the house.
Target Temperature
The temperature inside the house which the controller will maintain by
automatically controlling cooling and heat stages.
Minimum Timer Percentage
Only Stage 1 is used for minimum ventilation output on the Farm Hand “ST”
controllers. This is the percentage of the timer cycle that Stage 1 will run on a
timer. For example, if this is set for 30, and your timer period is set to 10
minutes, the timed stage 1 output will run for 3 minutes out of every ten minutes
(i.e. 30% of the total cycle time). The Stage 1 indicator blinks while the timed
percentage output is active. Note: If no minimum ventilation output is
required for Stage 1, set the Timer % to zero (0).
Mister Timer Percentage
Note: This setting is not displayed if the Mister is Disabled (P6 = Off). This
timer controls the % run time of the final cooling stage (or “Mister stage”) of
any Farm Hand ST setup. The settings and operation of this parameter are
explained in Sections 7.1, 7.2, and 8.2. This parameter is active only if the
temperature reaches the On Point of the Mister stage.
On Point
The temperature at which each Stage becomes active. (i.e. The set point
temperature at which a start signal is transmitted). Important: ST Stages 1-6 .
are cooling stages and have set points which are greater than the target
temperature. Stage 4 of the 4-ST and stages 7,8 of the 8-ST can be used as
either cooling or a heat.
