7. Apply Power
Connect the electrical wires to the controller as shown. (Note: Refer to Wiring Diagrams in the
back of this manual). After setting the SWX5 switch to the correct voltage, turn on the electrical
power.
8. Day to Day Operating Instructions
This section of the manual will give you all you need to know about the day to day operation of
your controller.
The Farm Hand “ST” is an easy-to-use temperature controller that utilizes a facepad with three
control buttons, four LED (Light Emitting Diode) Display Indicators, and LED Stage Indicators.
The Mode button selects one of four parameters (Room Temperature, Target Temperature, Timer
Percentage, On Point). As the Mode button is pressed, an LED indicator lights, and the numerical
value of a selected parameter is displayed in the Main Display. The Target Temperature, Timer
Percentage, and On Point may be changed by using the + or - buttons. The Mode button
sequentially toggles through the parameters as shown
by the flow chart on the next page.
