4. The controller will then be re-initialized and ready to operate in a few
seconds.
5. IMPORTANT!! Always "Zero out" the controller after initializing to ensure
that the power unit counters are accurate. If the counters are not reading the
right position, it could cause improper operation. To Zero out the controller,
press manual close and let the curtain fully close. The controller will stop
motion when the curtain is closed. The controller will pause for about seven
seconds while resetting.
You will need to reprogram the controller now, making sure that all questions
are answered accurately.
Installing the unit
1.
Mount controller on a flat surface in an area where adequate light is
available. NOTE: CONTROLLER MUST BE MOUNTED VERTICALLY OR
INACCURATE PRESSURE READINGS WILL RESULT.
2.
Run plastic tubing from the "HI" port on pressure transducer to a location
outside the building. Ensure that the open end of the tubing is not in an area
exposed to high winds. In buildings with drop ceilings, this tubing may be
placed in attic.
3.
Run tubing from the "LO" port of the transducer to a point inside the
building. Then cap the end with the supplied diffuser. NOTE: THE
TUBING MUST NOT BE CRIMPED, PINCHED, OR CUT AT ANY POINT.
ALSO, ALL CONNECTIONS OR SPLICES MUST BE AIR TIGHT.
4.
Locate the power unit remote controller box near the power vent unit and
attach to wall. Next, run 3-conductor (20 gauge or greater) from this box to
the controller. This should be a maximum of 1000 ft.
5.
Connect Power Vent unit 9-conductor wires into screw lugs located in the
remote power unit controller box as indicated by color.
6.
Connect the 3-conductor into the remote power unit controller box as
indicated by color (red, white, black). Then connect the 3-conductor in the
controller. Attach the wires to the terminal block labeled "Power Unit
Control". Note: If two power units are used, you must connect both sets of
control wires into the Controller. Connect both sets to the terminal block
labeled "Power Unit Control".
7.
Run outside sensor wire to a suitable location. Ensure that the sensor will
not be affected by direct sunlight, or any artificial heat or cold source.
Connect sensor into controller terminal block positions marked sensor.
8.
If the unit will be connected to an alarm system, attach the connectors to the
terminal block positions marked "Pressure Alarm". Care should be taken to
ensure proper hookup. If your alarm system is a "normally closed" system
