Install the chassis in the rack
1. Install the recessed rack ears on the switch. Refer to Figure 16 .
Note how one bracket has openings to accommodate the intake perforations.

2. Use a lift to raise the switch to the correct level.
NOTE
Use safe lifting practices when moving this product.
3. If applicable, lock the wheels of the lift.
4. Carefully lift the switch and slide it into the rack. Refer to Figure 17 on page 22 .
5. Secure the switch to the rack with six 10-32 screws and retainer or clip nuts. Tighten the screws according to
specifications under “Torque requirements.” .
Use the 10-32 x .63 in.(1.60 cm) Phillips screws with square cone washers to secure the switch.
Use either 10-32 retainer nut for racks that have rails with square holes or 10-32 clip nut for racks that have
rails with round holes to retain screws.
