18.11 From the Propaq MD NIBP Test control
panel, use the navigation keys to select:
•
Close Valve
•
Turn Pump On
18.12 Monitor the pressure reported by the
external pressure standard.
18.13 Once the pressure reaches the target
pressure of 150 +/- 5 mmHg, use the
navigation keys to select Turn Pump Off.
18.14 Allow the system to stabilize for at least
10 seconds.
18.15 Verify that the primary transducer agrees
with the reading on the NIBP simulator.
Reading should be within 3mmHg.

18.16 Verify that the safety transducer agrees
with the reading on the NIBP simulator.
Reading should be within 4mmHg.

18.17 From the NIBP Test control panel, select
Open Valve to release the pressure.
18.18 From the Propaq MD NIBP Test control
panel, use the navigation keys to select:
•
Close Valve
•
Turn Pump On
18.19 Monitor the pressure reported by the
external pressure standard.
18.20 Once the pressure reaches the target
pressure of 250 +/- 5 mmHg, use the
navigation keys to select Turn Pump Off.
18.21 Allow the system to stabilize for at least
10 seconds.
18.22 Verify that the primary transducer agrees
with the reading on the NIBP simulator.
Reading should be within 3mmHg.

18.24 From the NIBP Test control panel, select
Open Valve to release the pressure.
18.25 Once complete, use the navigation keys to
select Update NIBP Cal Check Date to
save the date of the most recent
calibration check.
Note: This will reset the date. Nothing
displays on the screen.
