Tools Required:
• SAE Sockets
• SAE Open-End Wrenches
• Small Screwdriver
Hardware:
• OEM Hinge & Latch System (Stock)
• Fender Bolts & Washers (Stock)
• Fender Screw (Stock)
• Mustang Seat Bolts Part#78027
(Optional- Sold Separately)
Baseplate Features:
Mustang two-piece FXR seats are designed to fit all
1982-94 models with hinged front seats. The formed
steel baseplates of the solo and the passenger
seats have rubber bumpers to minimize vibration
and to protect the paint. The rear baseplate is also
carpeted to protect the fender.
Use the OEM hinge and latch on the new solo.
Passenger seat has a chrome rear tab and front
slots in the base to fit directly to the fender bolts.
Stock Two-Piece Seat Removal Steps
1. Unlatch solo seat to expose the hinge.
2. Push plastic retaining clip of hinge with small screwdriver or
fingers.
3. Slide solo seat back to clear hinge and remove.
4. Unbolt the OEM hinge and latch from the bottom of the solo
seat and set aside. The OEM hinge and latch will be used on

Stock One-Piece Seat Removal Steps
1. Remove rear fender screw located at back of seat and set aside.
The rear fender screw will be used to attach the passenger seat of
your new Mustang Two-Piece Seat.
2. Slide one-piece seat back and up to remove.

2. Loosen front mounting bolts.
3. Slide passenger seat back and up to remove.
