Two-Piece Seat
Tools Required:
• 6 mm Allen Wrench
• Phillips Screwdriver
Hardware:
• Stock Rear 6 mm Allen Bolts
• Stock Rear Fender Screw
• Nylon Washer x1 (Included)
Baseplate Features:
The two-piece seat is built on marine-grade fiberglass
baseplates. The passenger seat is attached to the solo with
two hidden screws. Mustang has designed the seat so that the
solo portion utilizes the stock key latch and the rear of the seat
is bolted down with the stock rear screw and a nylon washer.
To access helmet locks and tool kit, unlatch front of seat, lift up
slightly, and pivot a few inches to the side.
Stock Seat Removal Steps
1. Unlatch stock solo seat and remove.
2. Remove stock rear fender screw. This screw will be used later to secure your new Mustang
Two-Piece Seat.
3. Remove three 6 mm Allen bolts holding the fender bracket in place.
4. Remove bracket as this is not required for the Mustang seat.
5. Reinstall the three 6 mm Allen bolts into the fender to fill the holes.
Mounting of Mustang Seat
1. Check both screws that attach the passenger seat to the solo seat are tight.
2. Position the Mustang seat on the bike and engage latch at nose of seat.
3. The seat is spring-loaded causing rear bracket to sit up off of fender. Push rear of seat down
aligning slotted chrome bracket with threaded fender hole. The included washer goes
between bracket and fender.
4. Secure with stock rear fender screw.
Enjoy the comfort of your new Mustang Seat!
