1 Hump Adapter 4 SS Pan Head Screws
1 Air Box
1. With the engine off, disconnect the
negative battery cable. Loosen hose clamp
connecting the OE air intake tube to the
throttle body.
2. Disconnect the electrical connection to
the MAF sensor.
3. Loosen the hose clamp at the MAF
sensor.
4. Remove OE air intake tube from the
throttle body and then from the MAF sensor.
5. Lift up and pull toward the engine to
remove the OE air box from the vehicle.
6. Remove and retain the 4 or 5 bolts that
secure the air box tray then remove the tray
from the vehicle.
7. Assemble the S&B filter adaptor to the
S&B air box using hardware provided. Be
sure to put the gasket between the box and
adapter.
8. Remove the MAF sensor from OE air
box.
9. Remove the flange adapter from the
MAF sensor.
10. Install the straight adapter onto the MAF
sensor (leave clamp loose).
11. Place the S&B air box into the vehicle
and install 4 of the OE bolts removed in step
#6, leave loose until the S&B intake tube is
in position.
