Face shield for ELIOS and METEOR III

Principal materials: polycarbonate with anti-fog
and anti-abrasion treatments.
Mounting instructions
- ELIOS: Use the drilling template for ELIOS
helmets made before 2003.
For helmets made after 2003, a starter hole is
provided inside the shell.
- METEOR III: Use the inserts that are visible on
the outside of the helmet (8).
Diagram 1. Preparation
Assembling the visor and hinge: press firmly on
the visor with the thumb and pivot the hinge.
- ELIOS before 2003: Install the left and right
drilling templates. Detach a template and position
the hole over the corresponding rivet (left or
right). Adjust the self-adhesive template so that it
lines up with the edge of the helmet.

To facilitate proper drilling, ask another person
to help. Find a stable surface. Hold the helmet
firmly. Use a wood-boring bit (4 mm diameter).
Take care not to damage the head bands and
webbing by keeping them separated from the
drilling area. Make a starter hole with a punch.
Drill the hole, using the mark on the template
which corresponds to the size of the helmet (1
or 2).
Drilling the helmet is only authorized when the
above directions are followed. Warning, danger,
do not drill the helmet at any other point.

Before tightening the hinge-screws, adjust the
visor in position ‘A’ according to your physiology,
your eyeglasses, or to give the desired effect.
Tighten the screws well without using too much
force (doing so can deform the shell of the
helmet).

1. Visor in position C: disengage the two notches
with the thumbs.
2. Fold down the visor.
3. Push the hinges toward the back of the helmet.
To return to position C, move the hinges forward
and raise the visor until a “click” is heard on
both sides.
Maintenance
Be careful not to scratch the visor: use optical
wipes or wash with the fingers in lukewarm
soapy water.
General information

Instructions de montage
- ELIOS : Utiliser le gabarit de perçage pour les
casques ELIOS fabriqués avant 2003. Pour les
casques fabriqués après 2003, un avant-trou est
situé à l’intérieur de la calotte.
- METEOR III : Utilisez les inserts visibles à
l’extérieur du casque (8).
Placez la cale de serrage entre l’articulation (3) et
le casque (schéma 3B).

Assemblage de la vitre et de l’articulation, bien
appuyer sur la vitre avec le pouce et faire pivoter
l’articulation.
- ELIOS avant 2003 : Mettez en place les gabarits
de perçage droit et gauche. Détachez-les,
positionnez tout d’abord le trou sur le rivet
correspondant (droit ou gauche). Ajustez le
gabarit autocollant jusqu’à le faire coïncider avec
le bord du casque.

Pour réaliser correctement le perçage, demandez
de l’aide à une autre personne. Trouvez une
position stable. Maintenez bien le casque. Utilisez
un foret à bois (diamètre 4 mm). Veillez à ne
pas endommager les tours de tête et les sangles
en les tenant écartés de la zone de perçage.
Faites un avant-trou avec un pointeau. Effectuez
le perçage en respectant le repère du gabarit
correspondant à la taille du casque (1 ou 2).
Seul le perçage dans les conditions indiquées
ci-dessus est autorisé. Attention danger, ne pas
percer le casque à un autre endroit.

Avant de serrer les vis des articulations, ajuster
la visière dans la position A en fonction de
votre morphologie, de vos lunettes ou de l’effet
souhaité.
Bien serrer les vis sans forcer pour ne pas
déformer la calotte du casque.

1. Visière en position C : débloquer les deux
crans avec les pouces.
2. Basculer la visière vers le bas.
3. Pousser les deux articulations vers l’arrière.
Pour retrouver la position C, remettre les
articulations vers l’avant et relever la visière
jusqu’aux deux «clics» à droite et à gauche.
Entretien
Attention aux rayures : utiliser des lingettes
d’optique ou laver à l’eau tiède savonneuse avec
les doigts.

Verwendungseinschränkungen
Das Visier schützt gegen wegspritzende
Eissplitter und Schnee.
Benennung der Teile
(1) Schutzscheibe, (2) Sperre, (3) Scharnier,
(4) O-Ring, (5a) ELIOS-Schraube, (5b) METEOR
III-Schraube, (6) ELIOS Markierung für Bohrung,
(7) Bohrschablone, (8) METEOR III Einsätze, (9)
METEOR III Scharnierstück.
Materialien: Polycarbonat mit Beschichtung
gegen Beschlag innen und Kratzer außen. Daher
ist auf die seitenrichtige Montage zu achten.
Montageanleitungen
- ELIOS: Verwenden Sie für ELIOS-Helme, die vor
2003 hergestellt wurden, die Bohrschablone.
Für Helme, die nach 2003 hergestellt wurden,
befindet sich auf der Helminnenseite eine
Bohrmarkierung.
- METEOR III: Verwenden Sie die Einsätze, die an
der Helmaußenseite sichtbar sind (8). Platzieren
Sie das Scharnierstück zwischen dem Scharnier
(3) und der Helmschale (Abb. 3B).

Befestigen von Schutzvisier und Scharnier:
Drücken Sie mit dem Daumen fest auf das Visier
und drehen Sie das Scharnier.
- ELIOS vor 2003: Befestigen Sie die
selbstklebenden Bohrschablonen. Ziehen Sie das
Schutzpapier des rechten oder linken Aufklebers
ab. Platzieren Sie zuerst das Loch auf dem
entsprechenden Niet des Helmes (rechts oder
links). Platzieren Sie den Aufkleber anschließend
so, dass er mit dem Helmrand abschließt.

Um die Bohrungen richtig anbringen zu können,
lassen Sie sich von einer anderen Person helfen.
Setzen Sie den Helm auf einer stabilen Unterlage
auf. Halten Sie den Helm gut fest. Benutzen Sie
einen Holzbohrer (Durchmesser 4 mm). Achten
Sie darauf, dass Sie das Kopfband und das
Gurtbandmaterial beim Bohren nicht verletzen.
Setzen Sie eine Markierung mit einem Körner.
Bohren Sie entsprechend der Markierung der
Bohrschablone (Helmgröße 1 oder 2).
Das Bohren ist ausschließlich in der oben
beschriebenen Weise erlaubt. ACHTUNG
GEFAHR: Bohren Sie den Helm an keiner anderen
Stelle an.

Bevor Sie die Schrauben des Gelenkes festziehen,
justieren Sie das Visier in der Position A
entsprechend Ihren Anforderungen (z. B.
Brillenträger).
Ziehen Sie die Schrauben richtig fest, aber ohne
die Helmschale zu beschädigen.

1. Visier in Position C: Lösen Sie die beiden
Sperren, indem Sie sie mit den Daumen nach
innen drücken.
2. Klappen Sie das Visier nach unten.
3. Drücken Sie die beiden Scharniere nach
hinten.
Um das Visier wieder zu schließen, ziehen
Sie einfach die Schutzscheibe nach vorne, bis
die beiden Sperren mit einem hörbaren Klick
eingerastet sind.
Wartung
Achtung - so vermeiden Sie Kratzer: Verwenden
Sie zur Reinigung ein optisches Reinigungstuch
oder waschen Sie das Visier mit lauwarmem
Wasser und etwas Spülmittel mit den Händen.

und Herstellungsfehler eine Garantie von drei
Jahren. Ausgeschlossen von der Garantie sind:
Normale Abnutzung, Oxidierung, Modifizierungen
