Starting your device
Device connection
1 Connect the power cord to the device.
2 Make sure that the On/Off switch is on Off (O position). Plug the power cord to outlet on the wall.
3 Press the On/Off button to turn on the device (I position).

The following message appears:
Press OK .
5 When this message appears,
insert the smart card provided with the new toner cartridge as shown on the picture below.
6 A wait message appears.
The smart card is read.
Remove the smart card from the reader, your machine is ready to print again.
7 The machine is set to English by default. To modify this parameter, refer to the paragraph Setup
the display language, page 21.
Before plugging the power cord, it is
imperative to refer to the Safety/
Warranty/Regulatory booklet.
The outlet should be located close to
the device and be easy to access.
