„ Community strings
Serve as a password between trap manager and switch.
1. String: fill the name of string.
2. RO: Read only. Enables requests accompanied by this string to display MIB-object
information.
3. RW: Read write. Enables requests accompanied by this string to display
MIB-object information and to set MIB objects.
4. Click Add .
„ Trap Manager
A trap manager is a management station that receives traps, the system alerts
generated by the switch. If no trap manager is defined, no traps will issue. Create a trap
manager by entering the IP address of the station and a community string.
1. IP Address: fill in the trap device IP.
2. Community Strings: the trap device community strings.
3. Click Add .
Security Manager
You can change web management login user name and password.
1. User name: type the new user name. The default is “root”
2. Password: type the new password. The default is “root”
Confirm password: retype the new password.
3. Click Apply .
