These are the basic steps to software installation:

Decide which driver you want to install:

Install the printer’s software according to your platform-specific procedures.

A pre-defined list of drivers, PPDs, utility files
Custom Install
A custom-selected list of drivers, PPDs, utility files, software applications

Follow the on-screen prompts.
4.
Set up a driver for use with your printer.
