Important
❒ Be sure to pull the tape horizon-
tally. Pulling it upward or
downward causes toner scatter-
ing.
❒ After pulling the tape out of the
cartridge, toner scatters easily.
Do not shake or apply a shock to
the cartridge.

Close the left cover.
The ”Low on:xxx” or “Add Toner
xxx” message clears from the panel
display and the printer starts
warming up. It takes a few min-
utes.
Replacing a specific toner cartridge
When several toner colors run out at
the same time and you do not have all
the required replacement cartridges,
follow these steps before carrying out
the procedure on P.71 “Replacing Ton-
er Cartridge” to specify the cartridge
you want to replace.
The following procedure describes
how to replace the magenta toner car-
tridge. You can use the same proce-
dure to replace the toner cartridges
for the other toner colors as well.
