Basic Operations
How to Use the Mode Dial
The camera offers a number of modes for shooting and playback. Use the
mode dial to select the mode you need.
Mode Dial

Action
Setup mode
For changing and verifying camera
settings.
Motion Picture
For recording motion pictures with sound.

Continuous
Enables continuous shooting while the

Text mode
Used when recording text. Eliminates
gradations and records in black and white.
Voice Memo mode
Used when recording sound.
Still Picture mode
Basic shooting mode.
Play mode
For playing back recorded files.
PC mode
For connecting the camera to a PC,
transmitting images from the camera to
the PC and operating the camera from the
PC.
Communication
For transmitting images and using Internet
mode
functions.
