ADSL WAN module replacement 57
Installation
1 Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws on either side of the ADSL WAN
module. You will feel the screws disengage when you have sufficiently loosened
them.
2 Gently remove the ADSL WAN module from the faceplate.
3 Slide the BSG12aw ADSL WAN Replacement Module (NT5S21ZCE6) into the
ADSL WAN module slot.
4 Use a Phillips screwdriver to retighten the screws on either side of the ADSL
WAN module. Do not overtighten the screws.
5 Power up the BSG12aw unit.

Verifying the ADSL WAN module status
Use this procedure to verify the correct installation of the ADSLWAN module.
Procedure steps
Step Action
1 Launch an SSH session.
2 Log on to the BSG12aw using the user ID and password.
3 At the prompt, enter the following command:
show sub-system information dsl
4 View the status.
The system displays the following information if you installed the unit properly:
DSL Info:
IpAddress: 169.254.1.6
OperStatus: UP
Firmware Version:
The system displays the following information if you did not install the unit
properly:
DSL Info:
IpAddress: 169.254.1.6
OperStatus: DOWN
Firmware Version:
If the unit was previously configured, attempt to connect with the previous
settings. If not previously configured, or if you cannot connect with your PC or
laptop, navigate to the Quick Start Wizard and follow the wizard instructions on
the GUI to reconfigure your settings.
