Installation
LED functionality
The Business Services Gateway 8-port (BSG8ew) and Business Services Gateway 12-port
(BSG12ew/aw/tw) have LEDs that indicate the status of the power, system, and the ports. The
LEDs are
• “Power and system LEDs” on page 25
• “LAN port LEDs” on page 26
• “FXS and FXO ports LEDs” on page 28
• “WAN port LEDs” on page 29
Power and system LEDs
The BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw has a power LED and a system LED. For more information about the
LEDs, see
“BSG8ew power and system LEDs” on page 25 and the following tables.
BSG8ew power and system LEDs
Power LED System LED Description
Solid green Solid green All BSG services are functioning and the system is ready for normal
operation.
Solid green Slow flashing green The system is initializing, not ready for service.
Solid green Fast flashing green System boot failure.
Solid green Fast flashing green There is a major or critical alarm on the BSG series.
Off Off No power to the BSG8ew/12ew/aw/tw.
