Access Internet

AAccess Internet is a network and subscription-dependent

feature. Contact your service provider for details about the
mobile internet services based on the WAP (Wireless
Application Protocol) technology that they provide.

Your phone has mobile internet access. This allows you to use the
mobile internet services available from your service provider, for
example, financial, sport, travel and entertainment information
services.
This section explains:

• some of the common display features

• how to set up your phone for mobile internet access

• how to start a mobile internet session

• how to use and end the mobile internet session.

Common Display Features

Your service provider determines the layout and information
that appears on the display. This example display illustrates a
typical mobile internet screen and the soft keys you use to
select and navigate through options.

Using the Main Menu

To display the Main Menu,

press

, select

Access Internet

, then press

O

.

press and hold

$

until the Browser Menu appears.

You can access the Browser Menu only during a mobile internet session. Then scroll up or down
to highlight the appropriate menu option and press

O

to select it.

The Browser Menu includes special commands, for example:

1> Home:

returns you to your home page.

2> Web Favorites:allows you to enter up to 10 website URLs.

3> Mark Site:allows you to add a site to your Bookmarks folder

(applicable only to connections to Phone.com WAP gateway).

4> Help:

provides help, if available, for the previously-highlighted option
(applicable only to connections to Phone.com WAP gateway).

5> Advanced:allows you to view, reset and set URL/Homepage.

1> Show URL: shows the URL of the current page.
2> Reset: reloads the current page.
3> Set Homepage: allows you to edit the homepage URL
(feature availability depends on Service Provider).
4> Encryption:contains the options to set up your mobile internet encryption
for secure connection to WAP gateway.

6> Setup:

contains the options to set up your mobile internet access such as Primary
Data, Secondary Data and Data Info.

7> Phone.com:displays the phone.com version and copyright information.
