14. Turn on all jet pumps and the blower when adding chemicals to
ensure proper mixing and leave your hot tub cover open until the
sanitizer level falls below 4.0 ppm to protect pillows and plastic knobs
from chemical attack.
CAUTION: Never leave your hot tub unattended for any
reason while the cover is open and accessible to small
children and animals!
CAUTION: To prevent the unlikely possibility of
contracting a waterborne illness, maintain water
chemistry within step 6 parameters. If you or other
bathers experience such a condition, discontinue use and
seek medical attention.
15. Establish a sanitizer reading between 3.0-4.0 ppm chlorine or 2.0-4.0
ppm bromine, then allow the hot tub to set undisturbed for 8 hours.
Retest water after 8 hours to determine if sanitizer levels are stable.
If sanitizer levels are stable, your hot tub is ready for use. To ensure
healthy water conditions, always maintain a constant sanitizer
reading within the levels recommended by the Association of Pool
And Spa Professionals printed on the inside cover of this manual.
If sanitizer levels are not stable at this time, it will be necessary to
repeat this procedure in its entirety (steps 1-15) until stable sanitizer
readings are achieved.
16. After adequate sanitizer levels are achieved, close all spa air controls
by rotating them clockwise to maximize heat retention when spa is
not in use.
