PROBLEM
Surround mode cannot be selected.
DSP mode cannot be selected.
Continuous hiss or buzzing during FM
reception.
Occasional cracking noise during FM
reception.
SOLUTION
Play not multi-channel software or
check the speaker setting.
Play back Linear PCM or analogue software or
check the speaker setting.
Connect an outdoor FM antenna or contact your
dealer.
Select a new station.
Check with your dealer to be sure you have the
correct antenna.
Check connections.
Move the antenna farther from automobile traffic.
NOTE
When you use the digital coaxial connection, the sounds may be intermittently distorted by the outside noise such as a lightning discharge but
they will restore automatically. This is not a malfunction.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Surround mode is not available on the
software being played back, or only the
front speakers are set for use.
DSP mode is not available on the
software being played back, or only the
front speakers are set for use.
Incoming signal is too weak.
The station is too far away.
An incorrect antenna is used.
Antennas are not connected properly.
Ignition noise from automobiles.
