Boot Up Floppy Seek
Boot Up Floppy SeekDuring POST, BIOS will determine the floppy disk drive installed
is 40 or 80 tracks. 360K type is40 tracks 720K, 1.2M and 1.44M are all 80 tracks.
Disabled BIOS will not search for the type of floppy disk drive by track number. Note
that there will not be any warning message if the drive installed is 360K.
(Default value)
Enabled BIOS searches for floppy disk drive to determine it is 40 or 80 tracks.
Note that BIOS can not tell from 720K, 1.2M or 1.44M drive type as they
areall 80tracks.
Boot Up Num-Lock
When set On, allows the BIOS to automatically enable the Num Lock Function when the systemboots
up.
On Keypad is number keys. (Default value)
Off Keypad is arrow keys.
Password Check
Setup The system will boot but will not access to Setup page if the correct
password is not entered at the prompt. (Default value)
System The system will not boot and will not access to Setup page if the correct
password is not entered at the prompt.
Interrupt Mode
PIC PIC (8259 Programmable Interrupt Controller). Use the traditional method to
provide IRQs for the system.
APIC APIC (Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller). Provide more IRQs for the
system through IOAPIC. (Default value)
Note: BIOS will autodetect IOAPIC mode when an IOAPIC procoessor is installed. And your
operating system will be APIC-supported if you enable the APIC mode in BIOS before installing the
operating system.
However, if you replace the APIC processor with a non-APIC one or switch to PIC mode in BIOS,
you will not be able to enter the APIC operating system and will have to reinstall it.
HDD S.M.A.R.T. Capability
S.M.A.R.T. which allows your hard disk to report any read/write errors and issue a
warning when LDCM installed.
Enabled Enabled HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability.
Disabled Disabled HDD S.M.A.R.T. capability.(Default value)
CPU Hyper-Threading
Enabled Enables CPU Hyper Threading Feature. Please note that this feature is only
working for operating system with multi processors mode supported. (Default
value)
Disabled Disables CPU Hyper Threading.
(Note) This item will show up when you install a processor that supports this function.
