Using the Energy Save mode
In order to conserve energy, your machine is initially set to enter the Eco mode automati-
cally when the machine is left idle for a few minutes.
If you wish to change the idle time before the unit enters the Eco Mode, turn off the Eco
Mode first, then enter the Energy Save mode to customize the settings.
To turn off the Eco mode, see pages 1-16 and 1-17. You can also set the scanner sleep
time when turning off the Eco mode.
NOTE: If you assign “Energy Save” to a soft key, you can switch your machine to Energy
Save mode immediately by pressing the soft key. For details of the soft key, see page
8-2.
