Blade Requirements

Blade Installation
To install a new blade:
1. disConneCt saW From poWer!
2. put on heavy leather gloves and raise the
arbor all the way up.
3. remove the table insert and blade guard/riv-
ing knife, depending on what is installed.
4. use the arbor wrenches to loosen and remove
the arbor nut, flange, and blade. Note: The
arbor nut has right hand threads; turn it coun-
terclockwise to loosen.
5. slide the blade over the arbor with the teeth
facing the front of the saw, as shown in
Figure 47.
6. re-install the arbor flange and arbor nut,
and tighten them against the blade. do not
overtighten.
7. reinstall the blade guard/riving knife and
table insert.
