SECURITY (CHANGE PASSWORDS)
This section deals with the security of the system. Access to the OM100 is password
protected. All password characters are displayed as asterisks (*), with
password.

Function
This field accepts the password currently attributed to the system. When
the password is recognised (on entry of the final password character) the
password field is enabled.
This field always displays its contents as asterisks, and has a maximum
length of 10 characters.
This field defaults to null after initial power on
This field is enabled when the operator enters text into the password field

Description
Equipment sends the Alarm Indication Signal when a serious fault occurs
preventing them transmitting real data. Detecting this signal means there
is serious fault with equipment upstream of this unit.
Incoming signal lost. Either the connection between this unit and the
upstream equipment has been broken, or the upstream equipment
has failed.
Incoming data contains a high number of bit errors. Active if more than
2048 line code violations are detected within one second.
Incoming data contains a low number of bit errors. Active if more than 2
line code violations are detected within one second.
This counter record the total number of line code violations detected.
Counter to record the total time this user port has been in service.
Counter to record the total time this user port has been out of service.
Counter to record the total time this user port has suffered heavy errors.
Counter to record the total time this user port has suffered light errors.
Counter to record the total time this user port has been error free.
These are restable counters useful whilst fixing, or testing the link.
