Requirements and Notices
Windows System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, we recommend that your system has:
■ Microsoft Windows compatible PC with a Pentium ® III 500 MHz or higher processor
■ 128MB (Windows 98SE or Me) or 256MB (Windows 2000 or XP) or more of RAM
■ 200MB or more of free hard disk space recommended
■ VGA or better display adapter and monitor
■ CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive for installing the printer software
■ USB connection: a Windows-compliant USB 1.1 port (Windows 98SE, Me, 2000, or XP) or
Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port (recommended; Windows 2000 or XP only) and a shielded USB
“AB” cable
IEEE-1394 connection: an OHCI-compliant IEEE-1394 port (Windows Me, 2000, or XP) and
an IEEE-1394 cable
Macintosh System Requirements
To use your printer and its software, we recommend that your system has:
■ An Apple ® iMac ™ series or Power Macintosh ® G3 (400 MHz or higher) or G4 (733 MHz
or higher)
■ Mac OS 8.6 through 9.2.x, OS X 10.1.3 or later
■ 256MB or more of available RAM recommended
■ 200MB or more of free hard disk space recommended
■ VGA display or better
■ CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive for installing the printer software
■ USB connection: a shielded USB “AB” cable (Hi-Speed USB 2.0 recommended)
FireWire connection: an OHCI-compliant FireWire port and a FireWire cable
