The Start Button Feature
The Start Button feature allows you to scan and send data to a
target application with a single push of your scanner’s
=
Start
button. The following sections will help you set up your
PageManager for EPSON and EPSON Scanner Monitor software,
or Windows 2000 and Windows 98 system, so you can begin to
use the Start Button feature.
Note for Windows 2000 and 98 users:
The Start Button feature is supported by Windows 2000 and 98, the
EPSON Scanner Monitor software will not be installed onto
Windows 2000 and 98. See “Setting Up the Start Button Feature for
Windows 2000 and Windows 98” on page 5-12 for instructions on
setting up the Start Button feature.
Note:
If the scanner is connected to a PC which is running EPSON Scan
Server, the Start Button feature is disabled. For information on using
the Start button on a network, refer to the EPSON Scan Server &
EPSON TWAIN Pro Network User’s Guide.
PageManager for EPSON
PageManager allows you to scan and send data directly to an
assigned application with a single push of your scanner’s
=
Start
button. You can also scan to any target application by simply
clicking on the application icon in PageManager’s Scan Buttons
bar. This section will help you set up PageManager so you can
begin to scan using the
=
Start button. For more detailed
information on PageManager settings, see your PageManager
documentation.
