Taking Pictures

Adjust the exposure to - when:
❏
You want to make your photos darker.
❏
The photo you have taken is too bright, and you
want to increase the darkness.
❏
You are taking pictures of a black object which
may tend to look grayish in the photos.
❏
You are taking pictures of an object with a black
background.
To adjust the exposure of your photos manually,
follow these steps.
1.
Turn the dial switch on the camera to View.
2.
Press the SEL button. Three menu icons appear at
the top of the LCD monitor.
3.
Highlight the conditions icon
using the
button, then press the SEL button.
4.
Press the
button to select the exposure icon
; then press the SEL button. The Exposure
setting menu appears.
Note:
If the exposure icon is dimmed and cannot be selected,
highlight the auto/manual icon
using the
or
button, then press the SEL button to select Manu.
5.
Select +0.0EV (the value may vary) using the
button, then press the SEL button. The values for
EV can now be changed.
6.
Adjust the values using the
or
button,
then press the SEL button. The Exposure menu
appears, indicating the selected values for
exposure.
7.
Press the ESC button twice to exit the setting
menus. The exposure
icon and its value
appear on the LCD monitor. On the display panel
on the top of the camera, only the exposure icon
appears.
8.
While pressing the Function button, press the
and
buttons to change the number.
