3.2 MegaRAID SAS 1078-based RAID Controller
Characteristics
Table 3.5 shows the general characteristics for all MegaRAID 1078-
based SAS RAID controllers.
Each MegaRAID 1078-based SAS RAID controller ensures data integrity
by intelligently validating the compatibility of the SAS domain. The
MegaRAID 1078-based SAS RAID controllers use Fusion-MPT
architecture, which allows for thinner drivers and better performance.
J8 Serial Bootstrap
EEPROM connector 2-pin connector.
Reserved for LSI use.
J9 Cache Write Pending
LED 2-pin connector.
Connector for an LED mounted on the
system enclosure. The LED indicates
that the data in the cache has yet to be
written to the storage devices.
J10 Battery Backup
Connector (located on the
rear of the connector) 20-pin connector.
Provides the interface to the remote
battery pack.
