The area is required for the calculation of any of the results that are divided by an area – normalized
leakage area and permeability results. When required, the [Area] key appears on the Home screen.

The [Area] key on the “Settings” menu provides another way to enter the area of the enclosure or building
under test. The key on the “Settings” menu operates exactly the same as the [Area] key on the Home
screen, but allows the user to enter the area without changing the “Result to be displayed” to one of the
normalized or permeability results to make the Home screen [Area] key appear.

4.3 Set [Volume] if using ACH
The volume of the enclosure or building under test is required for the calculation of ACH (Air Changes per
Hour). The [Volume] key will appear on the Home screen if ACH is chosen as the “Result to be displayed”.
