• It may be necessary to change the direction of the rod antenna to receive the
strongest signal. If you live in an area of poor reception and the rod antenna
does not provide satisfactory reception we have included an external wire
antenna to improve reception. Lower the rod antenna and connect the external
antenna to the EXT. ANT. jack on the back panel and make sure the external
antenna wire is fully unwound and extended.
• If you are using this clock radio on a bedside table and you find that extending
the rod antenna is not convenient, you may use the external antenna instead.
To listen to NOAA weather broadcasts at any time, press the WEATHER/HAZARD
button once. If the radio was ‘Off’ it will turn ‘On to your local NOAA weather station.
If you were listening to an AM or FM station, the radio will switch to your local
NOAA station. When you are finished listening press the WEATHER/HAZARD
button again. The radio will shut ‘Off’ or will switch back to your AM or FM broadcast.
