Connecting to the IEEE1394 port
Various devices such as digital video camera, etc. can be connected
to the IEEE1394 port. The procedure to connect a device to the IEEE1394
port is described in this section.
Connect the plug of the cable to the IEEE1394 port securely.
Pull out the lid on the left side of the unit so that the IEEE1394 port
appears.
When a device compatible with the plug and play function is connected,
the icon appears in the My Computer screen. Click the icon to perform
the operation.

On the IEEE1394
• High-speed data transfer: It allows you to transfer multi-media
data, etc. at dozens of times of speed
compared with the speed when using
the Ethernet.
• Plug and play: Turning off the power or restarting the
unit is not necessary when connecting
or disconnecting. Also, the dip switch
or terminator is not necessary.
