Display Problems
Symptom
Nothing on the display, Power indicator
lamp is not lit.
Display has gone blank.
The operator cannot remember the
Windows Me password.
The Start button or the Taskbar is not
displayed.
Display contents are difficult to see.
Display is dim.
The monitor screen becomes dark
temporarily.
Nothing appears on the display.
Recommended Action
Slide the power switch to turn on power.
Press the control button. FIVA’s power
saving function causes the display to go
blank if no operation is performed for
some time.
Input a new user name in the Windows
Log On screen, or restore the system to
its factory defaults.
When the Taskbar display is set to the low
position.
Move the pointer downward and when the
shape of the pointer changes to the up
and down arrow ( ), drug and drop in
the upper direction.
When the Taskbar display is set to the “Hide
the Taskbar automatically”.
Remove the check in the checkbox next
to the “Auto hide”.
Reorient FIVA so you can view the
display at a different angle.

Fn
+
F1
and
Fn
+
F2
to adjust
display brightness. If the display remains
dim at a bright setting, it may mean that it
has reached the end of its service life.
With your FIVA model number on hand,
contact your original dealer or authorized
distributor.
When the external monitor connected to
this unit is used, inserting the PCMCIA card
(including the CF card) or updating the
device driver with the System on the Control
Panel may temporarily darken the monitor
screen.

F10
to cycle through monitor
functions until the display you want to
use it selected.
