11 Troubleshooting
11.1 Sunny SensorBox
If a particular error does not appear in this section, call the SMA Serviceline and have the
information listed in section 15 ”Contact” (page 81) on hand.
Problem
Cause
Rectification
The Sunny SensorBox
cannot be found.
The RS485 bus is not
terminated on the Sunny
SensorBox.
Terminate the RS485 bus on the
Sunny SensorBox.
For information on RS485 cabling, refer to the
RS485 cabling plan poster.
The LED of the Sunny
SensorBox fails to
light up within 60
seconds of being
connected to the
power supply.
The Sunny SensorBox
does not have power.
Make sure the plug-in power supply unit of the
RS485 Power Injector or SMA Power Injector
with Bluetooth is connected to a power outlet.
Check the connection between the RS485
Power Injector or SMA Power Injector with
Bluetooth and the Sunny SensorBox.
The LED of the Sunny
SensorBox flashes
yellow every second.
Firmware error.
Contact the SMA Serviceline.
Sunny Explorer or
Sunny WebBox with
Bluetooth displays the
wrong device.
More than one Sunny
SensorBox is connected to
the SMA Power Injector
with Bluetooth.
Connect only one Sunny SensorBox to the
SMA Power Injector with Bluetooth.
The "TmpAmb" display
value shows one of
the following values
continuously: –
273.15 °C, 0 K, –
459.67 °F.
The ambient temperature
sensor is not connected.
Connect the ambient temperature sensor to
the Sunny SensorBox.
Check the cabling.
