Auto-white balance
If the reference colour temperatures do not match your lighting conditions carry out the auto-
white procedure as follows:

1. Use the Colour temperature switch to select one of the memory positions FL, AW1 or
AW2 in which to store the measured colour temperature value.
2. Press once on the White balance switch at the front of the camera to start the automatic
white balance procedure. The following appears in the viewfinder:

If you did not select one of the memory positions FL, AW1 or AW2, the ’Precondition
fail”message appears in the viewfinder.
3. Point the camera so that the reference white surface is between the two small white
boxes.
