4. Click the
Add (+)
button.
5. From the "Add a new directory of type" pop-up menu, choose
Active Directory
.
6. Fill in the Active Directory information for the domain administrator account.
The administrator account is only needed at the time of binding. Once the
computer is bound to a domain, all users of the domain can be used to log in to
the Macintosh system.
7. Click
OK
.
The Macintosh computer goes through the binding process. If successful, the
domain name is listed with the status message, "This server is responding
normally".
8. Click
Open Directory Utility
or, if desired, click
Done
and open the
Directory Utility
from the
System/Library/Core Services
folder.
