Enter Macintosh devices in hosts files. Configure hosts files on the stand-alone
K2 system
This is not necessary if the Macintosh
system logs on with the default K2 Create a Macintosh user account. This
is the account that the Macintosh
system uses to log on to the K2 system.

On all Macintosh client computers

— Install Final Cut Pro, if not already
installed.
The software install file is
K2FCPConnect.pkg .
NOTE: Before installing the software,
you must be logged in as a user with
administrative privileges on the domain.
Install K2 FCP Connect software.
Only the control network connection is
necessary. Cable network connections.
— Configure for control network, if not
already done.
Copy in host table information from the
stand-alone K2 system's hosts file. Configure the hosts file for
networking.
In the Name field, enter
/. Mount the K2 system's volume
default .
Ignore "...could not start the file system
service..." error message. Set the license server to the
stand-alone K2 system and verify
license status.
Final tasks
Comment Task
Launch Final Cut Pro and open GV
Connect. GV Connect automatically Test connection
detects and displays K2 storage that is
mounted as a volume on the Macintosh
system.
