On the K2 Media Server (FSM)

Make the license request early to
ensure that the license file is received Request a K2 FCP Connect license
from Grass Valley for each K2 Media
and installed before configuring the
Mac Client in K2Config. Server with role of media file system
server (FSM) on the SAN.
— When the license XML is received,
install it on the K2 Media Server
(FSM).
Enter Macintosh devices in hosts files. Configure hosts files on SAN devices.
This is optional. If you do this task,
you must also configure Active Optional: Enable Access Control Lists
Directory Domain on the Macintosh
systems.
On the Control Point PC

Enter Macintosh devices in hosts file. Configure hosts file.
The K2 FCP Connect license must be
installed on K2 Media Server(s). In K2Config, add and configure Mac
Client(s) onto K2 SAN.
K2Config can not proceed if the
license is not installed.
On selected Macintosh computer(s)

From the Macintosh system, create,
modify, delete a text file. Test access to K2 SAN storage.

Use Xbench. Optional: Verify bandwidth.
Launch Final Cut Pro and open GV
Connect. GV Connect automatically Test connection
