Troubleshooting
Power module failure
Symptom
The firewall cannot be powered on, and the power LED (PWR1/PWR2) on the front panel is off.
Solution
1. Power off the firewall.
2. Verify that the power supply is as required by the firewall.
3. Verify that the power cords of the firewall are firmly connected.
4. Verify that the power cords are not damaged.
5. If the cause cannot be located in the steps above and the problem persists, contact your local sales
agent.
Fan failure
Symptom
After the firewall is booted, the following information appears on the configuration terminal:
%Jun 22 16:11:37:485 2013 H3C DEV/4/FAN FAILED:
Fan 1 failed.
The output indicates that the fan tray is not in position.
Solution
1. Verify that the fan tray is in position.
2. Verify that the fan tray is in firm contact with the backplane of the firewall chassis.
3. If the cause cannot be located in the steps above and the problem persists, contact your local sales
agent.
Configuration terminal display problem
Symptom
The configuration terminal displays nothing or garbled text when the firewall is powered on.
Solution
1. Verify the following items:
