Connecting the AC power cord for an S3100V2-TP-PWR-EI switch
The S3100V2-TP-PWR-EI is supplied with a bail latch to secure the AC power cord to the switch.
Follow these steps to connect the AC power cord for an S3100V2-TP-PWR-EI switch:
Step1
Wear an ESD-preventive wrist strap and make sure it makes good skin contact and is well grounded.
Step2
Install the bail latch by inserting the two ends of the bail latch into the slots at the two sides of the AC
power receptacle, and then push the bail latch upwards, as shown in
.
Step3
Connect the other end of the AC power cord to the AC power receptacle on the switch rear panel, as
shown in callout 1 in
. Push the bail latch downwards to secure the AC power cord, as shown
in callout 2 in
.
Step4
Connect the other end of the AC power cord to the AC power source.
Step5
Check the power LED (PWR) on the front panel. If the LED is on, the power cord is properly connected.

The positions of bail latch slots on the switch depend on your switch model.

The S3100V2-26TP-PWR-EI/S3100V2-16TP-PWR-EI provides a DC power receptacle as shown in
. You can use the –48 VDC power in the equipment room or the H3C RPS DC power input.
