Ping Server
The “Ping Server” function is a very powerful tool to test connectivity through the wireless RF
network.
When the “Ping Server” function is selected, the dialog box includes a section to type an IP
address on the bottom. Once a valid IP address is typed hit [ENTER] to start the “pinging”
process. Press the [ESC] key when finished.
The “Ping Status” screen will show the M7140 desktop terminal trying to contact the listed IP
Address. Once the connection is made the M7140 Desktop terminal will continuously send
packets of data to time the connection speed in milliseconds (ms). The “Ping Status” screen
will display the results of the ping process.
