If there is not a wireless Access Point (AP) for the desktop terminal to connect to, then the
terminal will not proceed past this point. For help in determining the presence and strength of
an Access Point’s transmission see the Network Diagnostics section of this manual.
Connecting
The following screen shows the M7140 desktop terminal connected to an Access Point. The
MAC address number for the access point is displayed at the bottom of the screen. After the
M7140 desktop terminal connects (associates) with an access point, it attempts to connect to
an active CommandLink™ Server.
If there is not an RF Server active for the M7140 desktop terminal to connect to, then the
terminal will not proceed past this point.
The following graphic shows a typical login screen for the CommandLink™ RF server. If you
are using your own server, the login screen will be different. For help in determining the
presence of a CommandLink™ Server see the CommandLink™ documentation.
If the User ID or Password is not listed on the CommandLink™ database a Login Error screen
will appear.
