6. Install the two (2) grommets; place a 8-32 x 3⁄4” bolt

through each grommet then attach the bolt to the

back cover using a 1⁄4” socket (see Figure 51)

7. Ensure the wiring harness is attached to the fan

then hook the two (2) slots on the fan box over the

grommets installed in the last step.

unit can be turned on. The placement of the charcoal pieces, embers, and logs are not arbitrary. If they

are positioned incorrectly, the flames can be “pinched” and will not burn correctly. The burner comes with

six (6) locator pins (pointed out in Figure 52), which make alignment easier. The locator pins are long

enough to go through the charcoal and

be used to locate for the logs. Carefully

set the three (3) charcoal pieces (Figure

46) in place.
When the charcoal pieces are in place the

embers (Figure 53) can be placed onto

the burner to create a realistic look. A bag

of rock wool is provided. Spread the rock

wool in a sparse but even manner.
WARNINGS: DO NOT pack this ember

material as this could create an unsafe

condition. The pieces should be lightly

placed so they don’t block any of the

burner ports. DO NOT allow any of

the embers to rest against the pilot

assembly.
Caution: Use only the type of ember

material supplied with this fireplace. Due

to the irregular size of the ember material,

there may be more than required. Use of

other foreign materials on the burners

may create dangerous conditions.

NOTE: The charcoal pieces and logs are fragile and should be handled gently.
