Setting Items (1)
Upconversion setting
UPCONV>
***
The standard CD sampling frequency of 44.1 kHz can be upconverted
2X, 4X or 8X before outputting from each output connector.
The factory default setting is "ORG".
< To use 8X upconversion, the unit must be connected to a D-02 and
the "XLR output setting" must be "Dual" and the "D/A converter
setting" must be "ESL3".
ORG (original)
No upconversion is used and output is at the standard sampling
frequency of 44.1 kHz.
2Fs
44.1kHz CD sampling frequency is upconverted 2X to 88.2 kHz and
output.
4Fs
44.1kHz CD sampling frequency is upconverted 4X to 176.4 kHz
and output.
8Fs
When connected to a D-02 and the "XLR output setting" is "Dual"
and the "D/A converter setting" is "ESL3", 44.1kHz CD sampling
frequency is upconverted 8X to 352.8 kHz and output. Under all
other conditions, 44.1kHz CD sampling frequency is upconverted
4X to 176.4 kHz and output. Two XLR cables must be connected
between the P-02 and D-02 to use "Dual XLR" mode.
< During Super Audio CD playback, upconversion does not occur.
Algorithm setting
UPC-A>
***
Sets the algorithm used for upconversion.
The factory default setting is "NF".
FIR
A FIR digital filter is used during upconversion.
NF
No digital filter is used during upconversion.
