STARTSCAN signal
The STARTSCAN output signal indicates when a scan of channels has been initiated. It may be programmed to
be available at any of the AUXOUT pins. The STARTSCAN output signal is a 50 ns wide pulse the leading
edge of which indicates the start of a channel scan.

SSH signal
The SSH signal can be used as a control signal for external sample/hold circuits. The SSH signal is
programmable polarity pulse that is asserted throughout a channel scan. The state of this signal changes after the
start of the last conversion in the scan. The SSH signal may be routed via software selection to any of the
AUXOUT pins. Figure 13 shows the timing for the SSH signal.
